In August, the Board of Education approved a change to the school calendar. This moved the last day of school to May 20, 2025. Since this change was made after the paper calendars were printed, it will not be reflected correctly on that version.
For an up-to-date look at the school calendar, you can always check the website at: https://www.holtonks.net/events

HHS Stuco members participated in the 2025 Washburn Leadership Challenge Event™ (WLCE™) on March 6 & 7. Participating students were Sophie Goombi, Dalton Peters, Jacob Warner, Stormi Goudie, and Hunter Segenhagen.
The WLCE is an annual event hosted by the Washburn University Aleshire Center for Leadership and Community Engagement. It is a unique inter-scholastic leadership competition which provides high school students an opportunity to participate in an organized competition that simulates real-life experiences. The WLCE™ challenges students to address a variety of problems and situations where the outcome of the simulation is dependent on the leadership decisions made throughout the course of the competition. Student teams compete to fulfill the challenges and overcome the obstacles placed before them in a manner that demonstrates exemplary leadership knowledge and execution. Students took on leadership roles for the city of “Metropolis” to lead a campaign to elect a new mayor while competing against 29 other high school teams.
