The WLCE is an annual event hosted by the Washburn University Aleshire Center for Leadership and Community Engagement. It is a unique inter-scholastic leadership competition which provides high school students an opportunity to participate in an organized competition that simulates real-life experiences. The WLCE™ challenges students to address a variety of problems and situations where the outcome of the simulation is dependent on the leadership decisions made throughout the course of the competition. Student teams compete to fulfill the challenges and overcome the obstacles placed before them in a manner that demonstrates exemplary leadership knowledge and execution. For this challenge, students took on leadership roles for a high school in the city of “Metropolis” to explore teen mental health issues and resources while competing against 28 other high school teams.

Kuplen has presented this program at 800+ schools and events since 2019, making Think Before You Post the most booked school assembly in the state of Kansas.
The day will include a MS/HS combined assembly from 10:45 am to 11:45 am.
Students will learn about digital citizenship, online reputation, cyberbullying, social media etiquette, viral posting, AI, online criminal activity, texting and driving, mental health, networking, and responsible decision-making online.
