Wow — Lauren Shupe and Brayden Peek are at it again! L. Shupe shattered the 100m Hurdles record at Perry with an incredible time of 15.15, breaking the long-standing 1989 record set by Tammy Cox (15.25). Just last week at Atchison, she also broke her own school record in the long jump with a leap of 17'9"! Not to be outdone, B. Peek continues to impress — he broke his own school record from 2024 in the 400m (49.82), clocking an outstanding 49.60! Huge congratulations to both athletes on their amazing achievements!

Reminder about the Calendar Change In August, the Board of Education approved a change to the school calendar. This moved the last day of school to May 20, 2025. Since this change was made after the paper calendars were printed, it will not be reflected correctly on that version. For an up-to-date look at the school calendar, you can always check the website at: https://www.holtonks.net/events

Holton Wildcats had their first track meet of the season at home last Tuesday. It was a great day to be a Wildcat!! Senior Brayden Peek broke the long time standing high jump record that was 6'4, held by Paul Smith (1983) and our very own track coach, Brian Meerpohl (1990), with a jump of 6'5. Congratulations Brayden! Along with Peek, we have Senior Lauren Shupe setting a record in the long jump. Shupe broke Nikki Canon's long jump record at 16'10.5 from 2004, with a jump of 17'5.
