The Holton HS Girls Track Team had a 4x1600m relay team accepted to compete in the KU Relays Track Meet on April 18th. The high school division of the Kansas Relays is one of the largest, and most competitive track meets in the entire Midwest. There were over 3500 athletes, from 447 high schools across at least six states, competing this year. Only the region's top entry times are accepted, with no consideration given to the size of the school, and Holton was among the 23 teams chosen to compete in the 4x1600m relay. The 5-member team (4 competitors and 1 alternate) included Eva Cortes (senior), Maya Doney (senior, not able to compete), Sophia Goombi (junior), Lilly Naylor (freshman) and Ava Clayton (freshman). They finished with a time of 23:41, placing 19th among the 23 teams, and matching their entry "seed time" expected place.

Reminder about the Calendar Change
In August, the Board of Education approved a change to the school calendar. This moved the last day of school to May 20, 2025. Since this change was made after the paper calendars were printed, it will not be reflected correctly on that version.
For an up-to-date look at the school calendar, you can always check the website at: https://www.holtonks.net/events
