We are thrilled to officially introduce Katelyn Eshleman!

Katelyn is starting her 9th year in education (and 4th year in special education). After a brief break, she returned to the classroom two years ago and is so excited to be back supporting students where she belongs!

Katelyn holds a degree from Washburn University and is currently working on her Master’s in Autism at KU. Her passion for helping every child grow and succeed shines through in everything she does.

Say hello to Clarissa Cope!

Please join us in giving an incredibly warm welcome to our new Holton Elementary Special Education teacher, Clarissa Cope!

Clarissa brings a wealth of knowledge, a huge heart, and 10 years of special education experience to our school. Originally from Central California, they spent most of their adult life in Washington State before moving to Kansas for the sunshine, the pace of life, and the wonderful people.

With a Master’s in Special Education from Fort Hays State University, Clarissa has taught PK–9th grade across both Washington and Kansas. Their teaching philosophy is something we value deeply. Clarissa states "I believe it is so important to get to know my students as individuals in order to understand how I can help them learn. I try to meet every student where they are and help them reach their best potential. I also believe kids’ basic physical and emotional needs have to be met before we ask them to learn academics."

We are excited to introduce Taylor Smith, our new High School Special Education Teacher! Described by colleagues and students alike as positive, diligent, and a true team player , Taylor is passionate about building lifelong skills that help students succeed in the classroom, the community, and beyond.

Taylor holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and brings extensive experience in co-teaching, behavior intervention, and student mentorship. If the Smith name sounds familiar, it’s because athletic excellence runs in the family! Taylor has a massive passion for sports and has coached basketball and football at multiple levels across Kansas. Taylor is looking forward to bringing that same energy, competitive drive, and dedication to our halls. According to Taylor "Teamwork is a vital component for success in all elements of education, in and out of the classroom."

Tiny Paws Daycare is now accepting a limited number of 2 1/2 year olds for the 2026/2027 school year. The daycare follows closely with the Holton USD 336 school year calendar.

Holton Preschool enrollment will be happening July 7th, 8th, and 9th from 8am-5pm at the district office. See the flyer below for what to bring. The payment is for full day preschool only and for those who have not already paid their security deposit.
