Ministry
Kent began his pastoral ministry in the United Methodist Church in 1982. He has served in the following appointments in the Kansas area: Coffeyville: First, Strong City - Elmdale, Fort Scott: St. John’s - Hammond - West Liberty, Topeka: Oakland, Newton: Salem and Caney.

Education
Kent completed his Masters of Divinity at Saint Paul School of Theology in 1992. Prior to attending Saint Paul, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Emporia State University in 1989. Kent completed his Clinical Pastoral Education at Osawatomie State Hospital.

Background
Kent is a Kansas native, born in Wichita on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 1961. He is married to Dedra Rogers; they are a blended family with five children (Heidi, Brendan, Dylan, Justin and Lindy) and two dogs (Sir Vader and Princess Isabella).

Interests
Kent is physically active and enjoys exercising and weightlifting with Dedra. He is a “sports fanatic”. He loves to play basketball, golf, softball, tennis and almost any kind of “sports spectation”. Kent is a certified basketball official with the Kansas State High School Activities Association (boo...hiss!!).

Passion
Kent has a passion to see lives change as people really come to know and understand Jesus Christ.
