Library Patron Cards

  • Patron application forms must  be completed in the library.

  • Anyone 7 years old & older may fill out a patron application form for a library card.

  • Children under 18 must fill out a juvenile patron application form and have a parent or guardian sign the form in the library and provide his/her identification.

  • Adults, 18 years and older, must fill out an adult patron application form and provide identification.

 

 

Books, Audios, Periodicals

  • Patrons 7 years of age and older may check out books, audios and periodicals for a period of 14 days (2 weeks).
  • If materials are not returned on the due date, a fine of 5¢ per day, per item will accrue until the materials are returned.
  • Overdue materials must be returned and fines paid in order for patrons to check out additional materials.
  • The maximum fine for any material is the replacement cost of the item.
  • Materials may be renewed for an additional 14 days if the patron contacts the library via telephone, e-mail, or in person to renew the materials.
  • In the event of lost or damaged library materials the patron will be charged the replacement cost of the item.
  • Patrons may check out a maximum of 10 items.

Videos & DVDs

  • Videos/DVDs must be checked out by patrons who are
    18 years of age or older.
  • A limit of 2 movies (videos/DVDs) per adult card.
  • No renewals on movies are allowed.
  • The fine on overdue movies is $1.00 per video per day.
  • Patrons checking out movies must not have outstanding fines or overdue materials.
  • Movies are checked out for two days, excluding Sunday.

TUESDAY due on THURSDAY WEDNESDAY due on FRIDAY 
THURSDAY due on SATURDAY
FRIDAY due on MONDAY

Public Computers and the Internet

  • Must be a patron in good standing with the Beck-Bookman Library (no fines or overdue materials).
  • Patrons must abide by the Internet Safety Policy of the Beck-Bookman Library.
  • Patrons must present library card & sign in at the circulation desk before using a computer.

  • Patrons are given 60 minutes on a computer and must sign out before leaving.

  • Disks and CDs, DVDs are available at the front desk for $1.00 each.

  • Parental permission is required for use of library Internet computers by children under the age of 18. Permission forms may be obtained from the circulation desk. These forms need to be completed in the library before using the Internet. Proof of identification/date of birth must be provided if questioned by staff.
  • For children age 12 and under, a parent must be in the library with the child at the time of Internet use.
    Internet Safety Policy

 

Printing - effective January 4, 2010
Black & white: 15¢ per page (30¢ double sided), maximum of 25 per day. 
Color: 25¢ per page (50¢ double sided), maximum of 10 per day.
 
Patrons must prepay costs at the circulation desk before sending print jobs to the printer.
Anyone violating this policy will not be allowed to use library computers.
