Hello there! My name is Julie Gomez. I am the Parent Resource Specialist assigned to Royal Valley. I am married and live with my husband and two children in St. Marys, KS. I truly enjoy working with children and families and I am very excited to begin my work in the district.I enjoy spending my free time (what there is of it), with my family, reading, and catching up with friends.
I received a dual degree from Kansas State University in Social Work and Family Studies in 1991. I will complete my Masters Degree in Social Work from Washburn University this May. I have worked in many areas, which served youth and families and have been working for the Parents As Teachers program in Districts #321 and #322 for the past 3 years. I look forward to meeting the families and staff at Royal Valley and the surrounding districts as I begin this new position. I also look forward to working together with these people to ensure that children are given the chance to be successful.
