I was involved in a vehicle accident on private property, what do I need to do? If no one is injured, exchange information with the other driver such as driver's license number, telephone number, insurance information, and tag number, and bring your damaged vehicle if possible to the Holton Police Department anytime, 24 hours a day. The driver of the vehicle in question needs to be the person coming in for the report. If someone is injured in an accident on private property, immediately call 911.
What if I have an accident on a busy street? For non-injury accidents ONLY!, if heavy traffic is present at the time of the accident, and both vehicles may be safely moved from the roadway, go ahead and move the vehicles just off to the side of the road to open traffic obstructions. DO NOT leave the scene of the accident until a law enforcement officer has arrived and allows you to do so.

Does the speed limit start at the sign or when you see the sign At the sign, just because you can see the sign, doesn't mean you may start speeding up. If you do so, you risk being pulled over and issued a citation.
