Living and Proclaiming Jesus Christ the Way, the Truth, and the Life

Pastor Tim O'Byrne

"Where there is no vision, the people perish."
Proverbs 29:18

God desires for His people to be about His business here on earth. He has empowered us with His Spirit to loose on earth that which has been loosed in heaven and bind on earth that which has been bound in heaven. The Christians represented here at First Baptist Church believe that God's calling is to fulfill Acts 2: 42-47. To see a people in a true fellowship of teaching, sharing, witnessing and praising of our Lord Jesus Christ. We will continue to see God and submit unto Him that we might see the fulfillment of God's promises to His people...."praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved."

Praise be to God.

Discipleship Pastor Rhett Totten

God has created all things to result in glory and praise to Him, and we at 1st Baptist desire to be part of that wonderful endeavor, as we learn more of God's Word (the Bible), and grow to become more like Jesus Christ. It is our joy and hope to help men, women and young people from all walks of life be healthy and growing disciples of the Lord. Of course, we cannot do this in our own strength, but God has sent his Holy Spirit to graciously empower believers to manifest His life through us. A truly abundant and purpose-filled life comes from Him.

"Even though God requires perfect holiness to gain eternal life, what great news it is to learn that the perfect righteousness of Christ is undeservedly credited to all who sincerely rely on the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross to pay the death-penalty for our sins. It's a free gift to those who trust in Him, and who don't rely on their own failed "goodness" to credit them before God. It's all by God's grace, and we encourage you to join us as the Lord ministers His joy, hope and love to His people."
